HVAC repair and replacement in Cypress, TX
Cypress calls take us west on the 290 side. Closer in, it's often drain overflows, capacitors and copper line work. Farther out toward Bridgeland and Towne Lake, we've done float switch and drain pan fixes. We drive over from Tomball and test everything under load before we suggest a repair.

AC and heating repair in Cypress
Usually it starts with something simple. The house won't cool, the heat smells funny, or the system keeps clicking on and off. We check it with the system running so we find out why it failed and not just which part gave up.
Then we tell you what we found and what your options cost, before any work starts. If a repair on older equipment isn't worth it, we'll tell you. If it's a good repair, we'll tell you that too. More on our AC and heating repair and replacement.
Recent work in Cypress
In October 2024, on a Cypress call, an outdoor unit wasn't getting the control voltage it needed. We replaced the contactor and repaired the thermostat wire running to the condenser, and the system started up.
Then in January 2025, also in Cypress, a package unit was sweating and dripping underneath. We sealed and insulated the bottom of the RTU and the dripping stopped.
Replacement, planned instead of sold
A new system is a big decision, and nobody should make it in a driveway with a salesman leaning on them. We plan the change with you. Before any equipment gets ordered, you'll know what's going in, why we picked it and what the job includes.
Already holding someone else's replacement quote? We'll come look at the system ourselves and tell you if replacement really is the right call. If you're planning further ahead, our notes on planning for a new system are a good start, and here's how we plan a system replacement.
Velocity Care for Cypress homes
If your Cypress house is on the newer side, the system still needs looking after. Our Velocity Care maintenance plan includes a spring cooling visit and a fall heating visit. The first visit's photo checklist records a baseline, so later visits have something real to measure against. Ready to book? You can request service in Cypress online.
Cypress HVAC questions
Do you work in Cypress? You're based in Tomball.
Yes. Cypress is part of the northwest Harris County work we do out of our Tomball shop. We're a family-owned company, insured and Class A licensed (TACLA153648C).
Do you cover Bridgeland, Towne Lake, Fairfield, Cypress Creek Lakes and Coles Crossing?
We cover all five. If you're unsure about your particular street, mention it in your request and we'll let you know.
Do you repair AC and heating, or only replace systems?
Both. Nearly every call starts as a repair. We find what's wrong and talk it over with you before we start, and replacement only comes into it when more repairs stop making sense.
My Cypress home is fairly new. How often should the system be serviced, and do you offer a maintenance plan?
Newer systems still do best with a check twice a year, before the heat and before the cold. On the first visit we record a baseline, so later visits have real numbers to compare against. Ask about Velocity Care when you call.
I'm buying a home in Cypress. What should I ask about the HVAC before closing?
Find out how old the equipment is, when it was last serviced, and whether it has a repair history. We wrote up what to ask about a home's HVAC before closing if you want the longer list.
Who does AC repair in Cypress on a Saturday?
Velocity Air works Saturdays in Cypress, from Bridgeland and Towne Lake to Coles Crossing. We're open 24 hours Monday through Saturday and closed Sunday, so call (832) 589-0813.
Do you go past Cypress into Katy?
No. Katy is outside our service area. In northwest Harris County we cover Cypress and Tomball.
Is the diagnostic fee waived if you fix my AC in Cypress?
Yes. The $89 residential diagnostic is waived 100% when we make the repair or you buy a system from us.
I already have a replacement quote for my Cypress house. Will you give a second opinion?
Yes. We'll look at the system ourselves and tell you whether replacing it is really the right call or whether a repair makes more sense.
Can I spread the cost of a new system over time in Cypress?
Yes. Velocity Air offers 0% financing over 5 years, subject to credit approval.
